New Access

LNK-9479 - Access Monitor error when getting history photo

There was an issue with the Links Access Monitor running on a machine without LinksCore installed (no Links registry settings present). An error occurred when attempting to view a photo from the History record. The picture is not displayed and forces the user to exit and restart Monitor.

The issue has been resolved to ensure users can view a photo from the History record in the Links Access Monitor without any errors.

LNK-9478 - Access Client Service - service startup/recovery settings are not being set during install/upgrade

The reliability of the Links Access Client Service has been improved, by setting the Startup and Recovery options in the service properties. The Links installers for a new install or upgrades via the individual service executable will set the properties to:

Startup Type = ‘Automatic (Delayed Start)’

Recovery = ‘Restart the Service’ for First, Second and Subsequent failures, Reset fail count after = ‘1' days, Restart service after = ‘2’ minutes, Enable actions for stops with errors = 'Enabled’

LNK-9492 - Access Service - service startup/recovery settings are not being set during install/upgrade

The reliability of the Links Access Service has been improved, by setting the Startup and Recorvery options in the service properties. The Links installers for a new install or upgrades via the individual service executable will set the properties to:

Startup Type = ‘Automatic (Delayed Start)’

Recovery = ‘Restart the Service’ for First, Second and Subsequent failures, Reset fail count after = ‘1' days, Restart service after = ‘2’ minutes, Enabled actions for stop with errors = 'Enabled’

LNK-9470 - Access Client Service - Topmost Access Controller is always selected for new install or install/upgrade over the top

The current issue is when completing an Access Client Service install over the top or an upgrade of the top, the topmost Access Controller checkbox is always checked in the Links Access Client Service Configuration screen:

The resolution is to select previously selected Access Controllers on upgrade or install over the top. On a brand new install, no Access Controller will be selected.

LNK-9464 - Access Client Service - Connection config details are cleared /reset to default during upgrade

When upgrading the Links Access Client Service using the executable, the connection configuration details were being overwritten to default, requiring users to re-enter the connection configuration details.

This issue has been resolved to ensure the connection configuration details do not get overwritten on the upgrade.

LNK-9463 - Access Client Tools - Connection config details are cleared /reset to default during upgrade

When upgrading the Links Access Client Tools using the executable, the connection configuration details were being overwritten to default, requiring users to re-enter the connection configuration details.

This issue has been resolved to ensure the connection configuration details do not get overwritten on the upgrade.

LNK-9462 - Access Service Config - Ignores existing stored DB connection details when upgrading on machine with no LinksCore installed

When upgrading the Links Access Service using the executable on a computer without LinksCore installed, the connection configuration details were being ignored, requiring users to re-enter the connection configuration details.

This issue has been resolved to ensure the connection configuration details are correctly called upon, so users do not need to re-enter these details on the upgrade.

Kiosk

LNK-9515 - Kiosk Service config Status showing as unknown

Links Kiosk Service could not communicate with the Links Kiosk Configuration due to an incorrect service name. Links Development has amended the Service name, and the Links Kiosk Service can now successfully communicate to the Links Kiosk Configuration.

A change to the function that retrieves and displays the Links Kiosk Service status was also required, as it had internal errors that were stopping the status from updating correctly. The Kiosk Service status is reflected accurately.

LNK-9466 - LinksService-Kiosk - Connection config details are cleared /reset to default during upgrade

When upgrading the LinksService-Kiosk with the executable, the connection configuration details were being overwritten to default, requiring users to re-enter the connection configuration details.

This issue has been resolved to ensure the connection configuration details do not get overwritten on the upgrade.

LNK-9465 - Links Service Config (Kiosk) - Ignores existing stored DB connection details when upgrading on machine with no LinksCore installed

The connection configuration details were being ignored when upgrading the Links Service Config (Kiosk) using the executable on a computer without LinksCore installed, requiring users to re-enter the connection configuration details.

This issue has been resolved to ensure the connection configuration details are correctly called upon, so users do not need to re-enter these details on the upgrade.

Classes

LNK-9447 - ClassTypes looking at wrong dates and Error Showing Incorrect Term Info when trying to unassign the Term

We have delivered improvements to the checks for Student Bookings in a Term in the Class Types > Term Info tab.

If ‘Current Term’ Dates have passed, Links will use today’s date to look for Term bookings, instead of using the Term Dates. This allows a user to ‘Move Up’ Terms after the last Class for that Term period has passed.

The Next Term and Extra Terms will use the Term Start Date.

LNK-9417 - Family Account Statement HP/Squads not listed in Class Type list

An issue was identified in Classes Module > Students & Families > Families > Print Account Statement where the Print Account Statement filter did not list Holiday Program & Squad style Classes Types, sometimes resulting in the below error:

This fix for this issue is to add Holiday Program and Squad Class Types to the Print Account Statement filtering list to allow the user to choose these options and run the report without error.

Facility

LNK-9454 - Facility - Modify Existing Facility shows Parent duration instead of current duration

There was an issue when trying to amend a Facility's duration; the change did not stay. When loading the Facility setup screen in the Links Admin Module, the logic looked at the Parent Facility duration by default.

The logic has been corrected to look up the associated Facility's duration rather than its parent.
