Create customer accounts for testing

Your sandbox environment does not contain any customer accounts loaded or any dummy transactions. You may want to load accounts or schedules before you start development to see how the process works. The easiest way to achieve this is by using the Online Management Gateway (OMG) tool.

Online Management Gateway (OMG) allows you to set up a customised Direct Debit Request (DDR) Form that creates a unique online link to sign customers up. The payment amount and the term is pre-populated – the customer is only required to add personal and banking details. The signup link can be displayed on your website, emailed to prospects, posted on social networks or used in marketing campaigns, this does not require a signature from the customer and you can start debiting from the next business day. This DDR form can also be used to sign up a minor with guarantor details.

Set up Account Template

Follow the below steps to create an account template that can later be used to load accounts:

  1. Using the sandbox credentials provided, log into Self Service and go to the OMG menu and click on OMG Settings.
    Each business has to have at least one OMG setting – this can be set at a default business level, or each individual business account can have its own OMG Setting.

2. Complete the information shown below and save the settings.

 

3. Next, set up Brand Template details and save.
There must be at least one Brand Template – this can be set at a default business level, or each individual business account can have its own Brand Template.  A brand template refers to the look and feel of the Application Form and includes logos, colours and customisable fields.

 

4. Finally, set up Account Template details and save.
This is where you will create a payment plan for your customers to complete. You can create multiple account templates for each type of contract that you have.

 

5. Once these are set up, click on the link on the account template page to launch the OMG DDR form.
